What should I bring?

NO ALCOHOL of any kind is allowed at campfire sites. For safety reasons we do not allow cars to drive to the campfire sites. We do have carts available that you can use to carry food and other items to your campfire site. For large groups, a Vala’s staff member will use a motorized cart to haul food to your site. Check in with the Admissions Staff for cart availability. Do my guests need to pay admission?

Yes, the campfire fee is for the campfire site only. Each person entering Vala’s Pumpkin Patch will need to pay the general admission fee. Party hosts can have each person pay for their own admission to Vala’s Pumpkin Patch at the entrance. If the host would like to pay for guest tickets, we suggest buying tickets online and distributing them to guests. What if the date or time I want is already booked?

The Vala’s Pumpkin Patch reservations office will be keeping a waiting list for days and times that are fully booked. Plans change and there are times when sites become available. For example, if you want an evening campfire site but only afternoon times are available, we can put you on the waiting list for an evening time slot. We encourage you to make a reservation for your second choice and be on the waiting list for your first choice. How do I make a reservation?

All sites must be reserved and paid for online in advance. Weekend nights become fully booked so, if possible, have several dates in mind when you are booking the reservation. If you have questions, please call the reservation office at 402-332-4200, and we will be happy to assist you.

What if I need to cancel my event?

There are no refunds for tickets, campfire site reservations, party barn reservations, pavilion rentals, wooden shelter and tent rentals. If a cancellation is necessary you can reschedule for another available date online and then call for a refund of your original campfire. All changes and cancellations must be done prior to your event date. If your group has ordered Vala’s Catering please contact our reservations team to help you with the cancellation at 402-332-4200. Will my site have electrical outlets?

Some sites have electrical outlets. These include sites #1, #2, #3, #4, #10, #11, #12, #13, #18, #19, #20, #21, #22, #23 (Pavilion), #40 (Wooden Picnic Shelter), #48, #55, #72, #73, & #74. Each outlet has a 20 amp circuit with 2 plug-ins. One roaster typically needs 15 amps. One crockpot typically needs 1 amp. Using more than 20 amps will cause the outlet to pop the breaker and lose electricity. Please use these guidelines to plan accordingly.

What is your professional photographer policy?

Vala’s Pumpkin Patch is a closed work site for most of the year, restricted to Vala’s workers only. During our off-season we do NOT allow professional photographers to hold photography sessions on the farm. Special permission may be granted on a case-by-case basis and a $100.00 fee will be charged, call 402-332-4200 to inquire about available times. (Exceptions may be made for magazines, newspapers and other press or promotional photography).
